Researchers have recognized the relationship between blood pressure and talking, and they have investigated the phenomenon in their various studies in terms of emotional states such as anxiety aroused by talking. Lynch and his colleagues focused on the talking or vocalization itself and conducted several experiments to investigate the link between vocalization and blood pressure. They considered vocalization itself was a crucial factor having an effect on blood pressure. A series of research projects was set up to examine this effect. The research revealed the relationship between vocalization and blood pressure and provided another interpretation of hypertensive and TypeA personality in terms of their speech patterns.
