内容記述 | Fostering learner communicative competence has become a major objective of English language education in Japan. From a team-teaching perspective, this paper discusses ways in which this objective can be better achieved. It argues that team-teaching should be reformulated so as to promote interaction and authentic communication, and realize an input-and output-rich environment in the classroom. It also demonstrates that a re-interpretation of the nature of ALTs could shed light on a new aspect of their role in what I have called 'content-based team-teaching'. | |||||
